This course walks through one project moving into execution, and shows how the setup was adjusted so that documentation reaches the people building from it. You will see the finished result from the site side first, understand why each choice was made, then follow how it was configured.

An advanced course

This is an advanced course and based on the content of the course Dalux Box Administrator.

This advanced course assumes that you have the following setup implemented in Dalux already:
  • Locations are set up, including the drawings/models you'll use to define zones and object groups
  • User groups are set up, so you know who the he client's team, the design team, and the construction manager are in Dalux
  • You have a folder structure organized by design discipline
  • You are familiar with file naming templates, as well as with file areas - separating work in progress from information approved for construction. 
If any of this is not in place, complete the Dalux Box administrator course first, in particular the document control chapter. Return here once your setup is running. You will need also the right access on your own project. Generating QR codes for locations requires a project administrator or a Dalux Field administrator role.

What this course assumes

The example project runs on Dalux Box Pro, with Dalux Field active for the Locations module, and it was set up recently. Every feature shown is activated on it. If your own project runs a different configuration, or has been running for some time, individual features may behave differently or may not be available. Each activity links to the Help Center article for the feature it uses, which is where current requirements and limitations are kept.
